A SCAMPI (Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for CMMI) of type C is a light appraisal that allows to generate a process baseline to be used for initiating process improvement programmes. This method offers an evaluation of the intent of an organizational unit with regard to their processes, without verifying the quality of the implementation or the extent of the institutionalisation.
